“Here’s your Hot Pocket sir.”

Back from the holidays and ready to bring you more weekly Android goodness. Mat Lee here with Eric, Shane, and Seth! Join us this evening as we talk about lot’s of CES 2013 news, Nvidia’s Project Shield and Android gaming in general, the OUYA, this week’s app picks and so much more. Thanks for listening, and be sure to check out the new AotA Google+ Community.

What do you think about the whole casino gambling slot machine thing games like Shadowgun: Deadzone and Dead Trigger? Is this legal gambling or just a game mechanism?

How do you feel about in app purchases with games? Most of us would rather just pay for a game straight up than be constantly annoyed (Six Guns, Frontline Commando) with ad and in app purchase notifications. You are completely giving me game fatigue.

Since Seth is back, it’s also time to bring back the Phone of the Moment. Seth says it’s Vizio’s new 5 inch 1080p Android smartphone. I have to agree other than the fact that a U.S. company can’t sell their smartphone’s here in the U.S. because of the carriers. The Verge has an article about the new Vizio smartphone here.

I got a Nexus 10 for Christmas. Listen to my quick review. In short, the Nexus 10 is awesome. I haven’t touched my Prime since.

Fresh out of CES 2013, Android rice cookers. Eric is very excited about this, because he likes rice. I also like rice, but I’m not that excited about this. Once Android can actually cook for me, then I’ll get excited. The Washington Post has an article about it here.

Nvidia’s Project Shield Android gaming tablet was also announced at CES. We think the only problem is going to be the price point. As we’ve seen with other Android gaming tablets like the Wikipad, they don’t get the right price point. They are just too expensive. Especially when you can just hook up a Bluetooth controller to your tablet, or your Galaxy Nexus to your Gameboy. Engadget has an article about it here.

What are your Nexus S woes? A hangout listener asks about overclocking and the Nexus S. Why won’t it overclock? Check out the new Android Community over on Google+ and we’ll discuss.

Also out of CES, the baby Prime. PCworld has an article about it here.

We are all very excited about the OUYA. Phandroid has a developer console unboxing.

Phandroid also has an article about the OUYA getting some N64 emulator support.

Eric is depressed and underwhelmed with Google TV.

It’s time for show and tell before we get into some app picks this week. If you want your own Android Lego set, check out AbbieDabbles.com. I also got some awesome Android soaps from Sky Rain Soaps.
