AotA 62: The Usability

Play

“How do you think I find app picks?”

Hello and welcome to AotA, our weekly Android podcast. 62 episodes in and still going strong. Mat Lee here joined by Eric, Shane and Joey. On tonight’s episode we talk about the Android 4.2.1 update, Android on tablets VS phones, Android and the average user, the new Google Plus requirement for posting reviews on Google Play, and some Republic Wireless updates. All this plus our app picks for episode 62 of Attack of the Androids. Thanks for playing!

Android 4.1.2 has come out to a few Nexus devices to fix that pesky December bug. Cult of Android has an article about it here.

Is Android better suited to tablets or phones? Personally I think it rocks the cat box on both, but that’s just me. What do you think? Android Authority has an article about it here.

ZDnet asks the question, is Android too hard for the average user to figure out? Take a look at where the data comes from. Do you come to the same conclusion we did? A great discussion on usability ensues.

There is now a Google Plus requirement for posting reviews on Google Play. This will hopefully make the comments more useful. Android Authority has an article about it here.

Joey gives us a Republic Wireless update.
