“Have you ever met someone who’s not happy with Apple’s customer service?”

Hello and welcome to another episode of your favorite weekly Android podcast, AotA. Mat Lee here joined via the magicks of the Internet by Joey Kelley, Eric Finkenbiner, Shane Brady, and a slightly late Seth Heringer. On tonight’s episode we crash the hangout in record time as we discuss the Nexus Q, piracy on Android, free apps hijacking your device, the OUYA and other Android gaming devices, Spotify, Republic Wireless, and so much more. Tap the break below for article links and as always, this week’s app picks! Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you’d like to watch the video re run, check out the latest episode on AotA TV, or the whole back catalog on our YouTube playlist.

The phone of the moment this week has to be the FREE Galaxy Nexus. As we all know, nothing in life is ever truly free, so sign the two year contract over at your local best buy and get a super sweet device, pretty much free.

Check out my post on Google+ and tell me if you are using the unofficial CyanogenMod 10 pre release. I’m still using Vicious Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

I firmly believe the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus is NOT a true Nexus device. Not until you unlock it and put Jelly Bean on it yourself. That explains why there is no Google branding on the back.

Eric tells us more about his app pick last week. It’s called GooManager Beta, and it’s pretty damn awesome.

Eric is also getting a free Nexus Q, and you could too! Did you pre order? If you did, it’s not going to get there on time, but you will get your money back. I wish I had a free Nexus Q.

Is Android a piracy platform? I’m really curious what you think, drop us a comment and let’s discuss.

Where does the malware hide? Duh! In the free apps.

Do you use Spotify? Personally, I’m a Google Music fan, but I’m a weirdo when it comes to my music. If you do use Spotify on Android, we have good news! It’s now streaming radio for FREE!

Let’s take a look at some numbers. Who’s the most popular? Who cares? Fan boys and girls care. That’s who.

We have some OUYA updates. With eight days to go, at the time of writing this they have raised over $5,961,931. Oh yea, and Final Fantasy III is coming to the Android console.

I don’t think we got to talk about this on the show, but I think it’s really awesome. It’s an Android gaming tablet, with a controller. It kind of reminds me of the Sega Game Gear. Speaking of, the latest episode of the Buffer Overflow Show is out, and it’s all about video games. Reminisce with us about the gaming consoles we grew up with as we take a trip down memory lane, BOS style.

Get ready to drink because we have some Republic Wireless updates. They have a new phone, the Motorola DEFY XT. They are also opening spots for new members from the waiting list. Are you in Wave B? If so, get ready for the Republic.
